I was sick so, I literally just stayed home all day.

My poor ice cream which, I threw away when my grandpa came downstairs to water the plants. I was scared that

4 winter looks | Fashion

Hello guys!
Welcome back, I am so happy to finally sit down and share lot more posts with you all. I have one new post going up everyday for next 8 days. I'm super excited to share them. Be sure to be back tomorrow. Today, I'm sharing my 4 favorite winter looks. Also, giving some tips on how to stay cozy and look cute as the same time. It's very easy to just wear all black in winter but, I promise wearing a colorful outfit will make a difference. Life is always prettier in colors. Even though, I know I wear all black most of the days. Its all feels when to wear more color. Here are few tips to add more color to your outfits.

Look 1

Wear a thick cardigan. I like to buy Cardigans in neutral colors so that, I can easily pair them with all my sweaters. This will keep you warm and you will still look very put together.

 Look 2

A cozy winter sweater is a must easy to put on and you know it will look cute no matter what. Adding layers like knee socks will help keep warm.

 Look 3

Turtle necks are my favorites for winter. They make a great winter statement and look good on everyone.

Look 4

I have tried this look for the first time this year. I am all about that perfect fitting clothes but, an over sized sweater is game changer. It's extremely cozy and if paired right it looks effortlessly beautiful.

I hope you guys find these tips. Let me know which one is your favorite look.
Remember to always keep hustling for your dreams. Xo, Jessi.

6 Things You Need To Do Before 2017

We just have 19 days left until the new year. Yes, Just under 3 weeks! WHAT. I know there were so many things, I wanted to do this year and there and so many left. I want to accomplish this goals before, I start the year 2017. I don't just want to push this goals for next year. I know you to would like to check off few things of the list too to make the new years a great one!

1. Your  Health/ Check up- Have you been eating properly? Are you feeling you're best? When was your last physical check up or dental appointment? We need to take care of ourselves. Our physical, mental, and oral health is extremely important. It's important to re-evaluate and see what you need to focus on to live a healthy life. Talk to your parents, friends or go visit a doctor. Start a healthy, diet and good regime now before the new year starts.

2. Exercise- We all start with the most common New Years resolution to lose weight and after the end of January it all goes down the hill. I have to admit this year, I wasn't good with my workout regime. Instead of, just starting from 2017 start is from today and start it now. At least you will feel a little better on the New years eve! One mile per day or 15 push-ups something as little as that will count. In 19 days it will make a difference and give you a head start.

3. Write a letter to yourself- Reflect and try your best to recollect the year. Write the successes, failures, and all the things you feel that made a impact on you this year. Be honest with yourself, be proud and be kind even all the setbacks are a way to learn. Write your heart out don't focus too much on the writing part focus more on your thoughts and feels and pour them down. Don't worry about the spelling or grammar, just write what you feel.

4. Say it out- This might be terrifying and might feel vulnerable to do but, do it anyways. Nothing hurts more then holding back. If you like someone tell them, if you want something ask for it, want to thank someone do it. Compliment others it will make their day. Say what you feel and don't wait for another day.

5. Declutter - I know this might require a lot of time and it's not the most fun thing to do unless you like cleaning but, its very important to clean the space around you. Clean your room, closet, refresh and reorganize things. Even clean up your inbox, old photos and things which you don't need for the upcoming year. Store memories is one proper file and make space for new adventures to come. Take a few days and declutter as much as you can. This will give you a clean start. A blank slate to write on from January 1st.

6. Think ahead- 2017 is just a few weeks away. Along with finishing off this year strong start planning for what's coming. Make a list of goals you want to accomplish, make a vision board or whatever will kept you reminding of want your working on. For me its to spent time with my family, move out of live alone, travel more, Start a new venture and move out of my comfort zone. Making plans and goals will help you make better decisions now for your better future.

Good luck and remember to always keep hustling for your dreams. Xo,Jessi.

Vintage Fall look + Goodbye Autumn 2016

 Farewell to Fall,
Just like every year this Autumn season was incredible. Each year, I appreciate Fall more and more. I love the crispy and cool breeze. I love wearing cozy weathers. I love having family gatherings. I love the falling of the leaves. Every walk to class and every drive to work or school is like a fairy tale. Fall makes me feel like I'm living in the books that, I once used to read. The colors around me make me happy. It's strange how something died can be so beautiful. It makes me realize that change is a beautiful thing. Letting go of things is important in order to be more. One day or another showing your true colors is very important cause' that's where your beauty lies. I just wanna say Goodbye to Fall 2016 and rather then looking at wants gone. I want to look ahead to see what's coming.
Welcome to the last month of year 2016. This was by far one of the fastest year of my life. I hope, I get to enjoy December to the brim. December has always been the best month for me.(Hint- Birthday month😉) It never ever fails to surprise me. I can't wait to see what this month has stored for me this year. I can only say that the best is yet to come. Keep an eye on my blog this month. I'm going to post a lot more. Also, pray for me as my finals are approaching.
Today, I'm sharing a vintage Fall look with you all. I loved the way the scarf and skirt looks together. Pairing patterns can be tricky but, as long as the colors are complementary and the patterns are settle it should workout well. Unfortunately this is all for today. I have to get back and study my little snack break is over. I hope you all had a very Happy Autumn. I wish you all nothing but, the best for winter.

Until, next time always keep hustling for your dreams. Xo,Jessi.

Some things never change | Travel Thursday

January 5th 2016
Writing this post is making me super nostalgic, that is why I'm going to keep this one short. After a long pause, I'm sharing my India trip stories once again. Make sure to subscribe to my blogs so you don't miss on any. January 5th is my youngest cousin Alisha's birthday. This year it was my baby Ali's sweet sixteen! I can't believe she is growing up so fast but, it doesn't matter how old she gets she is still the baby of the house. We wished her at mid night and went back to sleep and pretended that nothing was happening. She went to college the next day and me, Simi and Celina went out for our mission. We went to some local shops and got gift wrapping material as well as some snacks and chocolates for all of us and her to eat after she got back home. We came home and I will not take any credit for this, I was talking to my friend who came to visit me. Celina and Simi did the gift wrapping and filled the balloons. We planned all this as a surprise for Ali and it turned out great! Then we had a family photo session and we retook a childhood picture and Oh my God! As I look back so much has changed. I'm very proud to have amazing cousins who are all working on their childhood dreams day in and out. I can't wait to reflect back again after 15 more years.

An autumn day to remember! 10|15|16

Hello everyone!
I'm really excited to share this post with you all. It's a very special post my first cousin got married on October 15th of this month. I can't believe that he is married now. It just feels like yesterday when me and my cousin Celina used to talk about his wedding. We used to talk about his wedding when were 6-7 years old while playing on our terrace. We had planned the dresses we wanted to wear, the way we wanted to do our hair, and makeup. We knew that someday we will be in America to attend our cousins wedding. I can't believe we have lived that day now. It's funny how we had planned it all when we were young but, we literally brought our dresses one week before the wedding. I got my dress on Wednesday and Celina got her's on Thursday. I am glad we both found the dresses that we really liked.
Now lets talk about the wedding. I won't write much because, I think the pictures speak for themselves. My cousin had a destination wedding. We drove to Ohio State and stayed there overnight after the wedding. The wedding mass went really well. It was peaceful to hear and beautiful to watch. Oh, did I mention this was the first American wedding that, I have ever attended. After the mass, we took some pictures in front of the church and then we drove to the venue. The reception venue was on a golf court with the most beautiful sunset view. The wedding reception was a lot of fun. The food tasted as good as it looked we danced until our feet were hurting. After the wedding, we went to the hotel. Late at night we ordered room service and the pizza's were gone within seconds. Next day, we had to wake up early for brunch. We had some really good food on our table. Strawberry iced tea, honey maple bacon and much more! After the brunch we said goodbye to everyone and went our separate ways. After reaching home, we unpacked and relaxed for a bit and went out to eat some Indian food. It was a eventful weekend, one that I will always remember. I hope you guys enjoyed reading this post and enjoy the pictures below.
Until next time, keep hustling for your dreams. Xo, Jessi.

Good bye summer'16 | Fashion

Today, I am saying a late good bye to summer 2016. September 22nd was first official day of Autumn, but usually Septembers are chilly in Michigan. Unlike, the usual cold Septembers, this year we actually had extremely good weather and when I say extremely good, I mean it 86 degrees on Thursday. Today morning, it was raining and chilly. I can finally say that fall is here. My favorite season of the year is here and it makes me happy. I got my pumpkin yesterday, which I'm super happy about can't wait to crave it later on in the month.

Grand Haven day 1 | Travel Thursday

Hello Guys!
Welcome back to reading another travel Thursday story! In just two weeks, I will be back to sharing the India trip post series. For today, I'm throwing it way back to year 2015 summer. I feel a need to post this vacation post up because, honestly it was one of the best vacation ever. I always love my trips up north. We don't do much tourist stuff which I honestly enjoy a lot. Traveling and exploring is good but, its great to have at least one vacation per year where you go just to relax, eat good food and be spontaneous with the things you do.

1 Year Blogiversary!

If you have been here since the beginning this is the 51st   blog post written by me. Exactly one year ago, the 23rd of August 2015, a passionate girl was hitting the button “Publish” for the first time! I was nervous but, also super excited to share about the things that love. I literally thought no one was going to even bother reading my blogs. I have always loved writing and it’s great to know that you guys enjoy and appreciate my thoughts and ideas. They say that time flies when you’re having fun, and they sure are right! Today, as I look back there is whole new memory lane that I have created for myself Apart from being a full time college student and working part-time I am so proud to have a little space of my own.
Things I have learned in a year: It’s okay if others don’t understand your dreams as long as you believe in them go pursue them. I am so happy that I took the lead to start a blog. I know so many people who have gotten inspired and started their own blogs. I didn’t know anyone who had a blog and I was scared to start my own. In the first week, I receive a lot of negative comments from my very own friends. It made me sad, I wasn’t expecting for such a bad start. I am proud to say that, I didn’t question myself or took a step back, but I realized when you do something different people won’t understand. I’m happy that, I was the first person to go out of my comfort zone and do something different. I am so thankful that I took on to this crazy beautiful adventure.

I posted this picture on my Instagram right after I published my first blog. “She hustles in heels” is what I wanted to name my blog. Later on, I decided to go by my name as my name is spelled in a very unique way. I still use the saying she hustles in heels as the meaning behind my blog. To me it’s extremely important to work for what I want. To pursue my dreams and hustle hard for them every single day of my life and I also believe to work hard and keep classy.
Thanks to my mom who is my number one supporter and few other people who have always had my back you know who you are. A huge thanks to all of you for being a part of my journey and completing 365 days and 4 seasons, 1 college year, I’m so happy that I got to share my travel experience. So, grateful to have collaborated with some amazing brands. I promise it’s only going to get better from here. Lots more exciting things are planned ahead. For now, I want to enjoy the last few hours and celebrate 1 year Blogiversary before we step into the second year blogging.
