Acai Bowl | Food Recipe

Hello Guys!
Today, I am going to share a very special recipe with you all. If you guys remember, I posted a picture of an acai bowl in my first blog post. Finally today, this recipe made its way to the blog. I am going to share one of my favorite breakfasts recipe which, is an Acai bowl. A super food all the way from Brazil. It's not just a healthy breakfast bowl but its very flavorful. It literally taste like an ice cream. Who wouldn't like to have ice cream for breakfast? If you are anything like me and if you like having something sweet this bowl is perfect for you. Acai bowl is basically a thick smoothie which is topped by banana's, berries, nuts and whatever your heart desires. When I'm on the go, I like to make a smoothie instead of a bowl. When you have a little more time on your hands acai bowl is the way to go especially for spring and summer.
There is no particular way of preparing your bowl. Here is how I like to make mine. I buy frozen Acai packs from whole foods. I like to add one and half banana and a handful of blueberries. Couple ice cubes and a pack of Truvia. I like using all natural sweeteners but,you can use whatever you prefer. For the liquid, I used half cup of almond milk and half cup of acai juice. Blend it all together in a mixer and you should have a serving of two thick acai bowl ready. I like being creative and decor my bowl. I used blueberries, half a banana, strawberries, kiwi, almonds, dark chocolates and sweetened coconut flakes. Drizzle some honey on top and your done. I also enjoy using a mason jar to enjoy my delicious acai. To make a smoothie just add double the amount of liquid. I am no professional when it comes to cooking but, buying food from outside can get very expensive. So, I like to do my own research and recreate things on my own. I hope it will help you guys to create something new as well. Good luck!

New years in India | Travel Thursday

December 31st and January 1st 2016
Last day of the year is a great day to reflect to pause and look back. I spent the entire day home with family and went for a midnight New Years mass. It was very dark outside and my cousin and I were kinda scared to walk alone and we were running late as well. My uncle and his wife were driving on their bike and thankfully they saw us and they were kind enough to accompany us to the church. After the mass was over, I went over to my friend's house. We ordered some Chinese take out and enjoyed talking all night. Early morning, I got home went around in the village wishing everybody a Happy New year! For lunch, we were invited over at my mama's house (Mom's brother). Thanks to mami for cooking an amazing lunch. I played with my cousins on the swings for a while and then took an unplanned nap for almost 4 hours. Later on, I hung out with grandma went to their village and watched the sports tournament that they had and soon got home. I was craving some coffee and biscuits so, I went out and brought it and my uncle made a cup of brewed coffee for me. It tasted super good and it was my first cup of coffee on this trip. It was uncle and aunty's wedding anniversary we celebrated a bit. Later on, I wanted to sit down at night and plan for the year but, I couldn't so I just decided to take in every day as it came and enjoyed my last two weeks in India. More New years adventures and pictures from the second wedding of the season will be up next Thursday. See you then!

Spring trend 3 - Cold shoulders | Fashion

Hello guys!
I'm sorry that I couldn't get this up on Sunday. I was busy studying and later on, I faced some technical issues so here, I'm posting this on a Tuesday night in between my study breaks trying to manage everything at once. I am so happy that, I'm finally able to share trend 3 with you all. This spring Cold shoulders and Off Shoulders are super trendy. To me Off shoulders are a little daring to wear but, they look great on every body type and perfect to beat the heat. I opt for Shoulders more because, I feel more comfortable in them. After all comfort over everything. Trends come and go but, it's very important to be true to your style. If your wearing something and aren't comfortable in it. It will show on your face and plus, there is no point to own something is your closet which you don't completely love. I kept this look very modern and professional. I wore a pair of my white dress pants instead of just wearing jeans. I wore a statement neck piece in gold on which, I have been getting tons of compliments. This gold neck piece looks very on Indian outfits as well. I am wearing Kate Diamond Etch Cuff by Gorjana a beautiful 18k Gold statement piece from my Rocksbox I am absolutely in love with this piece I wear it every single day.
A bright colored cold shoulder top with statement pieces and a pair of white dress pants is super trendy this spring. I hope you guys enjoyed this trend. Trend 4 will be up this Sunday. Until next time, keep hustling for dreams. Xo, Jessi.

Mumbai Trip | Travel Thursday

December 28th
The long wedding rituals finally came to an end. I woke up quite relaxed and late this morning, I had no major plans until afternoon. I had a very traditional lunch made by my lovely grandma. I'm not a big fan of dhal and rice but, I solely relied on the dry and salt fish to complete the meal. It's one of my favorites sides. After the meal, I went to my newly married cousins house. We all cousins went together and bothered her for a bit. We were served Jalebis and yes, I end up eating a lot of them. I was sugar hyper after I got home. We also took a pit stop to meet my favorite little girl baby Nia. In the evening, I attended a traditional food festival it was alright it was nice to be there with friends but, it was to crowded as per my liking. I left the festival fair half way through and went to get my cousin back home. We arranged a band to bring here back home and its was loads of fun.

December 29th
I woke up early and went to my cousin's house. The same old prewedding ceremonies had began for the third wedding. Later on, we went to naturals ice cream store. One of my favorite place to eat creams. I played safe and picked mango favor. Then next up, we went to a play station to play pool. In the evening, I got home and went to the beach with my cousins from home. We wanted to take some pictures and relive our childhood days. As kids we used to ride in our jeep and go to the beach almost every week and play in the sand and build castles. We always enjoy going through the old pictures and videos. Finally, years later we all reunited and had the same kind of fun as teenagers. Post beach trip we took a little stop home and went out for dinner. We ordered our favorite Indian meals. I love eating Indian food in restaurants it tastes absolutely divine.  After dinner, I went to my cousin's place for sleep over because, it was the bride to be cousin's birthday we surprised her at midnight and after cutting the cake we started talking about ghost and scary stories I was super scared but survived the night. Haha!!

 December 30th
Slept late at night but, had to wake up early in the morning. At around 7 am me and my cousins from home headed out to Mumbai. We went to Oberoi mall. I loved the mall it didn't have all my favorite stores but, I went to forever 21 and brought some stacking rings. We had an amazing lunch at a place called Copper Chimney. I highly recommend this place. I literally got to try all the wonderful Indian food in just one stop. Next up, we were almost ready to leave the mall but I spotted an old Bollywood actor and I followed him around. I also went to the same cafe as he went to for lunch. My cousin paid 100 rupees for a water bottle and soda just so it won't be too awkward. I have couple video but, could get a picture. I wasted 2 hours in this whole progress but I choose my cousin who is crazy enough to wait for me this long. We drove to a movie theater but didn't have much time to watch an entire movie so, we went to explore a fort. This a place fairly close from my house but, I saw it for the first time and it was beautiful. We went to Nai's house of dinner. Thanks to Supri tai for arranging an amazing dinner we enjoyed it a lot. We drove around for a bit and got home supper late. It was pass midnight when I got home and honestly, was so thankful to spent the last day of year 2015 in India and with my favorite people. Truly a memorable last day.

Half way through India trip travel Thursdays!  Many more to come starting for 2016.Good bye 2015 you were amazing. I will always cherish you. Thanks for joining me in my adventures. You guys are the best. Thanks so much! Xo, Jessi.
