A week ago, I got invited by the Traveling moms for a lifestyle blogger's event. We got to eat chef's special appetizer and incredible lunch and dessert followed in the most hotel. Doubletree ford Shelby it's a great hotel for business meets, family vacation, party rooms and conference rooms. It's 100 years old this year and it was been recently renewed. The grey and white tones in the room make the suits look incredibly welcoming and relaxing. If you are into 1900's architecture than this hotel is a perfect blend of both Modern yet rustic vibe.
A short distance from the Detroit River, this centrally located hotel is a 13-minute walk from Detroit Opera House and a 1.3-mile drive from MotorCity Casino. Flat-screen TVs, free WiFi and coffeemakers are offered in each room, as well as upscale decor and custom-designed beds. Upgraded rooms and suites add separate living areas, and provide access to the Executive Lounge’s free breakfast and evening appetizers. There’s lively restaurant for American comfort food, a chic bar and a gourmet coffee shop, in addition to a fitness center, 17 meeting rooms and a free area shuttle.
Happy first day of Autumn! It's hard to believe that its Autumn already, due to the hot temperature but, it's sure not going to last long. I am just feeling very happy and blessed on this first day of fall. I am so grateful for everything that is happening in my life. I am so excited to decor for fall and hopefully share it with you guys soon. I wore all color top and boots as it was almost 80 degree I will be sharing more cozy outfits soon!
I can't wait to go on hay rides, buy my pumpkin, go to cider mills and bake lots of goodies. Its time to wear cardigans and enjoy hot drinks and sweet treats. I absolutely love fall fashion and all the layers and chunky scarfs. I feel so blessed to live in Michigan were I get to experience all 4 seasons. Every new season is a new beginning. Lately, I have been very adventurous I drive to different cities with my friends and explore new places for a day and honestly, I can't wait to travel more. Tomorrow my experience in a new city and Alice in the wonderland tea party will be up on the blog. Make sure to come back tomorrow for a very cool blog post. I am very excited to share my first spa experience with you guys. D. Tour Spa is located inside Motor City Casino Hotel in downtown Detroit. I have never been to a spa before, but I can say that D.Tour was definitely one of the most luxurious spa. It has a very classy and stylish ambiance. We got free Valet parking. I met one of my blogger friend and went to the Spa floor. As soon as we walked in we knew it was going to be a top of the line experience.
There was a sign outside saying that the spa is closed for a private event. They definitely made sure to give bloggers the best atmosphere. They were very welcoming and walked us in and gave us robes and slippers even the lockers inside were high tech. We were than given a mini tour around the sauna, hot tub and were waited outside until, I was called for my first service.
We were offered free services of our choice. I decided to go for a Swedish massage. It was great massage for first timers. The massage was extremely relaxing I had a little upper back and neck pain for the longest time and I can say this after a week and half after the massage that I feel no back pain at all. I feel like a whole new person and very much relaxed. I will highly recommend getting a massage at the D. Tour. I know, I will definitely be going again.
After my massage the therapist was waiting outside with a bottle of chilled water. Just what I needed after an relaxing massage. She then walked me out in the waiting area. Then, again quickly I was walked in for a facial. It was also my first time getting a facial I went for the urban escape facial. The lady made sure to ask me about my skin concerns. It was again a relaxing and pampering experience. She also gave me a little hair massage which was excellent.
After our services were done. We ate some fine food that was spread out and we planning to go the the hot tub and they asked us if we had our dinner. We said no and they packed a lovely meal for us. I mean over the top service. I meet some new bloggers from Detroit, after relaxing for a little bit I headed out. I met my cousin and we both were handed gift bags with all exclusive D. Tour products.
An incredible Spa day at the most luxurious spa. I would definitely want to visit back with my parents and get another massage and try some other services.
We went down stairs and scanned ticket of our valet parked car and we immediately were escorted outside where they opened the car door and handed me the keys. The service was beyond amazing.

Someday the flight ticket is one way. July was that life changing month for me. A look back into the month of July full of miles stones 5 years in the land of my dreams (United States), 4 years work anniversary, 3 years since, I did the pageant and reunion with family. I always thought that "loving where you're at" was impossible, in a fast-paced world where being future-oriented is everyone's #1 goal. But honestly. I love where I'm at. I look back at the roads I've taken and the paths I've paved and I love where I'm at. I sometimes get impatient when I see my 5 year plan, but I love where I'm at. I look at the 24 hours before me and I love where I'm at. Because tomorrow will come regardless of whether I love where I'm at, or I hate where I'm at. So I choose love.
I think that's the tick to being genuinely happy. Loving today for what it bring. Loving yourself for who you have become plus who you have the potential to be. And being overly grateful for every single thing. Finding things to be grateful for. A full stomach. A comfortable house. That one coworker that just gets you. Those few constant friends in your life. Family who has got your back. Time to read, to learn, to create. A job that pays. A heart that works. Today. Tomorrow. Life.

Happy 4th of July! I am so proud to call this country my home and live in a country as diverse, free and beautiful as ours. This is my 4th year celebrating America's Independence Day and each year gets special. I thought today is the perfect day to catch up with you guys. I haven't posted a blog for almost 2 months now. I was busy with summer semester classes so, I decided to just focus on one thing and take a break from everything else. In winter it's hard to create content because, it's difficult to take pictures as the sun set's by 5pm but, I do get a lot of spare time in those cold months to write whereas, summer is full of fun activities and travel so, I have an immense amount of content to share but, I have very little time to sit down and get it all together. Today, I decided to finally sit down and write a blog post. I will post a lot more blogs in July and August so get ready for lots of new posts. Yesterday, I drove down to my favorite city and had a lovely lunch. Acai bowl 4th of July themed and a sugar baby Raw pressed juice. I absolutely love eating plant based foods when I go out. They always taste really good and are perfect for summer months. I wore a casual outfit an off the shoulder top that I got from Tjmax some black jeans and sandals. I have been working on some really exciting projects, I don't have date for them as of yet but, soon I will let you guys know more about it. Stay tuned! Every good chapter comes to an end. When I was 17, I started teaching catechism to kids almost half my age. It was daunting at first but, soon enough I realized that I get to learn a lot more from the kids than, what I taught them. Every Monday they came to class with excitement eager to learn and had endless imagination with every little activity we did. Every Monday from last three years, I used to look forward to teach catechism. It was the best stress-buster after a long Monday. I love kids and I love to teach so both of these things worked as a perfect Monday refresher combo for me. Some days were rough to plan lessons and study for finals and balance work-life but, it was all worth it. I was proud to see my first grade kids from 2014 as they were now actively participating it the family mass. I feel super emotional thinking that, I don't know when I will get to see these little kids again. My only hope is that I added a little value to their life and maybe as they grow up they will always remember their Miss Dias.
When I was a kid. I used to love going to catechism class every Sunday. I loved listening to stories and loved my teachers dearly. I used to only imagine me being a catechist and giving back the knowledge I got and share God's stories. Little did I know, I would get this opportunity few years later. I'm extremely grateful that I got to be a catechist and I will always cherish the past three years. It's been quite a journey and I have to end it here as I take up on new adventures this year.
I'm adding this to my big and long time wishlist of volunteering many more to come. I hope this post will inspire some of you guys to give back something that you have loved to learn. Day 2 of the year 2017 one of my favorite day of India trip. I got to see all of my family and also my old neighbor from 13 years ago. Surprised grandparents with my cousin's wedding invitation video. Hung around with my favorite cousin and went to the beach, ate butter chicken and ice cream also started off my day with Jalebi as a part of my breakfast. What else would one want? haha. I also got to spent a lot of time with my grandparents which was awesome!

In the morning, Simi's grandmother came to visit us and brought some lovely breakfast. After we had breakfast our Australian cousin came by to visit and she is super sweet and easy got along with us. Then, we got ready and went out to give goodies around in our village. Last stop was to go visit the newly weds. We spoiled them with a wedding basket and then, I did a mini photoshoot for my new vahini. She looked super pretty and they both truly make an awesome couple.

We got home and I face timed my brother and my parents. Dad called me literally 4 times a day. They missed me more than I missed them. Honestly, I was busy having fun, surrounded my family 24/7 and jet lagged. I didn't get time to miss them. We had a nice family lunch and than I gave Aie a scarf that I brought for her. Aie wears scarfs all the time and she looks super cute in it. We had Pedi's for desert which were brought by Sarina Vahini. She knows how to spoil me and Simi.
