Beyond the Hanger: Redefining My Style and My Life

Hello everyone!

First and foremost, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for being a part of my blogging journey over these past 8 years. It's been a while since my last update, and I appreciate your patience and continued support. I know I haven't been as active on social media and my blog lately, and I wanted to take a moment to share some reflections on how my life and interests have evolved during this time.

When I first started my blog, I was just a teenager with a passion for fashion and styling. I thoroughly enjoyed dressing up and staying on top of the latest trends. However, as the years have passed, my life has taken me in different directions, and my priorities have shifted. It's important for me to be authentic and transparent with you all, and that's why I'm sharing these changes in my journey.

While I still appreciate fashion and styling, I'm no longer as invested in following the latest trends. This realization has left me feeling somewhat confused about the content I should be creating. I want to be honest with you all - even though fashion is a topic that many of you want to see more of from me, I'm finding it challenging to create that type of content.

I believe that as we progress through life, our interests and passions can change, leading us to discover new and unexpected pursuits. While fashion still holds a place in my heart, it's no longer my primary passion. In fact, I've found joy in simplifying my wardrobe and embracing a more minimalistic lifestyle. This is something my teenage self would never have imagined.

There was a time when I never repeated outfits and constantly sought new attire for every occasion. But as my closet began to overflow, I realized the burden of excess possessions and how it was affecting my life. I started decluttering and gradually embraced the principles of minimalism – intentionally living with fewer possessions and focusing on what truly matters.

Am I a full-fledged minimalist now? Not quite, but I'm definitely a work in progress. Over the past three years, I've significantly reduced my shopping habits and have been actively decluttering my belongings, keeping only the items that hold genuine value for me. This transformation has been both challenging and rewarding, and it's a journey I'm excited to continue.

During this transitional period, I've struggled with defining my content and what I want to share with all of you. But I've come to a realization – I'm still evolving, and that's perfectly okay. I may not have all the answers right now, but I'm eager to document and share this ongoing journey with all of you.

So, am I still a fashion blogger? I'd say I'm more of a lifestyle blogger now, focusing on the changes and experiences that are shaping my life. While I can't predict what my next post will be about, I'm thrilled to embark on this new chapter and share it with you all.

I want to take a moment to express my deep appreciation for your unwavering support over the past 8 years. Your encouragement has meant the world to me, and I can't wait to see where this journey leads us next.

Thank you for being a part of my story.☺

Until next time, please keep hustling for your dreams.
Xo, Jessi

10 years life update | Lifestyle

Hi guys,

I hope your all doing well. I do not even know how to say 'Hello' anymore as I have been MIA from my blog for over a year. To say the least a lot has happened over the year. I would like to not only update you about the past year but also the past decade. Yes, you read that right! Today marks 10 years since I moved from India to USA. One way ticket to my dreamland. If you had told me 10 years ago that I would be publishing this post on my blog I would have never believed it. I was a shy little girl who lived in her own little world but, I was surrounded by the best people around. I remember how instantly I loved posting pictures on facebook within the first month in US. Taking pictures was only on rare occasions in India. I was amazed how frequently camera was used here in US.

I enjoyed being in front of the camera. I loved that very capture was a memory created. I also enjoyed writing growing up. I always had dairies and journals just for myself to evaluate and reflect back on life. I cannot believe the fact that I started my very own digital dairy. So, hello and thank you for being a part of my life journey.

                                                                10 years in US

Beautiful plane ride, to being greeted by my most loving family at the airport with whom I finally got to meet and stay with after being far away all my life. It was a transition a major life change just at 15 years old. Forever grateful to have my amazing family who made this all possible for us and helping us thrive in our first year in US. Simplicity

It is often in the most simple things that we find true happiness.

Simplicity is the key to happiness. I know it sounds simple but it’s hard to live simply. We humans have made life complex. We believe doing more makes us more productive.

Simplicity is having focus on few things and doing them better.

To simplify is to have more time, to downsize and to do what you truly love.

How to simplify?

Discover what you love and put all your energy into it.

If you want to reduce stress and cultivate more peace and ease in your life, start with a simple closet and a capsule wardrobe.

Why to simplify things?

When you simplify, you’re left with a life filled with meaning, a life that is lived on your own terms. You have the time and space to pursue your interests and to create the life you truly desire.

Simplicity creates time for long walks. It provides more clarity which results in less distraction.

•More time

•More energy

•More Space

Simplicity reminds you that you don't need to prove anything to anyone. You are enough.

It invites you to pay attention to what matters most, and let the rest go.

Simplicity is the way back to love. By simplifying your life, and eliminating things that don't matter, you will find your way back to people you love, a life you love and work you love.

Until next time, remember to always keep things simple for yourself. Travel light. Live light. Feel light. Be light. It's as good as it sounds. Xo, Jessi

Catastrophy 30 x 30 Challenge

3 Home Challenges - 30 Mins x 30 Day

Hello guys! I hope you all are doing well and staying safe at home.
I don't want to talk about the on going pandemic right now, instead I want all of us to take this opportunity to stay home and spend time with our dear once along with our work/studies. I know we all are going through uncertain times and it’s very easy to feel sad, as our daily activities have dropped down all of a sudden. Our screen time is increasing and we're running out of options of what we could possibly be doing at home.

In this time I want to take up a 30 mins x 30 days challenge with you guys. 3 activities, 30 minutes for 30 days.
Let's us all aim to spend time on ourselves to take care of our physical self, create a peaceful space for ourselves, grow our knowledge and most importantly focus on spiritual growth.

April 2020
1)   Workout for 20 minutes
I did some basic stretches and few body weight exercises just to get started with moving my body again.
2)   Drink 2 liters of water
I took up this challenge since I have been drinking less than 500 ml water a day for the last couple months due to the cold weather and being home gives us no excuse to not drink enough water.
3)   Pray for 5 minutes daily
I just thanked the almighty for the gift of this day. Also prayed and asked blessings for what's happening around.
Tip- These activities somehow kept me busy and helped me boost my mood staying home.
4)   15 minutes yoga
I tried Alo Yoga check it on youtube.
5)  Get some sun and fresh air from the window for 10 minutes
I opened my room window and tried to side by it and it felt really good.
6)  Read an insightful article for 5 minutes.
I read about minimalism article on Love people, Not thing.
7)   Help parents with making list of groceries for 20 minutes
We have to order grocery online due to the current lockdown situation so, I sat along with my parents to make a list.
8)   Reach out to old friends via text 3 minutes
I texted couple friends who live in Germany and India.
9)  Organize the study table 7 minutes
I prepared to study by setting up my desk.

There are many channels which I do not resonate with anyone so I decide to unsubscribe to them so I can have a feed in which I will see only what I like.
11)   Take 5 minutes to be in the present moment
I always live by the saying right now the present moment is your life. Past is gone and future is yet to come.

Decade 2020

Hello guys!

I am excited to take you all with me as I begin a new phase in my life - 2020. My diamond year. I do believe I have found "the one". My Twin flame. I know this year as well as my 23rd year is going to be something huge. This year is going to challenge and push me in new ways and directions. I'm going to start 2020 knowing that I will end it with growth. Growth in spirituality, family, medicine, and self. 2020 is going to be diamond. #newyear #newdecade #2020

To be honest 2019 was a mixed baggage of highs and lows and a very transformational year for me. I learnt a lot of new things about myself and about the life around me. My trip to India took a 360 on my life. The life that I knew changed forever and for the better. With the end of a decade, let the new journey begin. I am grateful for the past decade it made me the person I am today and showed me how to stand still and patient when things go wrong. I moved to the states in the last decade which was life changing. I have learnt lots of life skills, studied in high school and college got total of 6 years of work experience and got an established platform for myself online. Big thanks to my immigrant parents who are the real dreamers and fighters. "I will do what I can with what I have. And that will be enough."
The end of last decade started a new chapter in my life. The chapter where I will never walk alone. I have found my person. I finally found you, my missing puzzle piece. I'm complete. I can't wait to do life with you. #ToandFrom I have a history of moving every 7 and half years but he has moved my whole world around. We are excited to explore the opportunity of living in different parts of the world together. #Jdstriptoindiaforever makes my heart so happy.

Thank you guys for being my online family since last decade. I am excited to take you all with me as I begin a new phrase in my life. For all the exciting updates ahead follow hashtags #ToandFrom and #Jdstriptoindiaforever.
