Spring trend 1- Flowy tops | Fashion

Hello Guys!
Happy May 1st, I am so excited for the month of May to unfold. Tomorrow is the last day of my exams and the end of winter semester. I don't have any major plans for this summer break but, I already have a feeling that this summer is going to be pretty amazing. April was a very hectic month for me. I was over stressed almost every other day. I really hope to wind down this month and take things easy. Spring is in full bloom in Michigan there are beautiful flowers all around and the weather is finally getting warmer.
I am starting a spring trend series in which, I will share all the popular fashion and beauty trends for spring 2016. I love wearing dresses but, I usually stick to wearing jeans and comfortable tops. This spring season flowy tops are really in fashion. I have seen so many beautiful flowy tops all over Instagram and in all stores. I brought my top from Aeropostale its from Bethany Mota's spring collection 2016. This beautiful black top with white vines details is super cute to wear for any occasion. It is suppose to be an off shoulders top but, I like to wear it either way. I wore my light wash blue jeans from Hollister. For the day, I wear boots and for the night I like to switch up with heels. I hope you guys try out some flowy tops this season. They are not just super trendy but, also very comfortable and comfort is always the key. I'm wearing Tessa Stud Earring in Platinum Drusy by Kendra Scott they are super gorgeous to freshen the look up.
New spring trend will be up next week, Until next time, keep hustling for your dreams. Xo, Jessi.

The time I wore saree in India | Travel Thursday

December 27th
After the morning reception, I took a little break and then wore a Saree. My cousin came over to drape this Saree for me. I had no patience to stand and get ready it took forever. I was rushed at the very end. I managed to do simple makeup look quickly just little gold shimmer on eyes and a red lip. I wore two red roses on one side of my hairdo and placed a gold ornament in my hair. Wearing Saree was completely a last minute plan so, I paired it with everything gold and red that I found. I wore my red and gold bagels, gold chain, and long gold earrings. I had to stand and walk behind the bride for hours it wasn't easy. I can barely take steps in Sari's but, I somehow managed. I enjoyed wearing the Saree. I absolutely love the red, cream and gold combo with a mix of different fabrics.  Even though, I can't walk in Saree I'm really looking forward to wearing one the next time I visit. It's just something about the traditional Saree look which apparently can't be compared to anything else.More travel stories will be up next Thursday. I hope you have seen the previous ones.

Oatmeal chocolate chip and raisin sugar cookies | Baking

I enjoy baking a lot but, I don't always get time to bake. Usually, most of my times is consumed by studies and college. I always crave for sweets so on a Monday after college and after catechism I decide to skip studies for a evening and spent some time baking. I baked a funfetti cake which, I had been delaying to make for the longest time. The cake turned out really good. I was a bit too excited and so I also decided to make some cookies. I made this cookies with everything that I already had in the house. It was my first baking this cookies and instead of making the plain old oatmeal cookies. I made this absolutely delicious Oatmeal Chocolate chip and raisin sugar cookies. I personally don't like raisins but my dad loves them so, I made three cookies with raisins in them. You can add or cut back on the raisins and chocolates chips. I really loved how the cookies tasted so, I thought of sharing this recipe with you all.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups of plain oats
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of white sugar
  • 1 cup of all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of Vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of Ground Cinnamon

All the ingredients

Spray some oil on the baking pan

Start by melting half cup of butter

Add brown and white sugar

2 eggs and all purpose flour

Salt, baking soda, vanilla extract and cinnamon

Add the oats

Mix well

Refrigerate for an hour

After chilling the dough for an hour time to bake.

Sugar, chocolate chips and raisins

Make round and medium size balls

Made 12 for the first batch

Now comes the fun part

Dip the fork in the water so the sugar sticks on it easily.

Flatten the balls with fork and sugar, dip the fork in water every time.

Pre heat the oven at 350 degrees. Bake for 13 - 15 minutes or until golden brown.

My first batch cookies got stuck oh well!

Second batch with raisins and chocolate chips

Use the fork to add the sugar once again

First batch of oatmeal sugar cookies

Second batch turned out perfect

Let the cookies sit for 5 minutes before transferring them

I placed them of this tray to cool down

All together here are my 18 cookies
